Here is my introduction to my Life-Choice Memoir and links to previous blog posts that helped as a part of my writing process.
The definition of a memoir is a biography written from personal knowledge. When I first received this assignment I was very confused. I did not what to write about. I feel to young to have made a major life choice. So I decided to look back at my previous blog posts to try and find something worth writing about. That is when I found Life Choice: To Tell the Truth? In high school I had to have an intervention with my mom; it was difficult and I thought it would be interesting to write deeper into.
When I first started my memoir I found it extremely difficult. It happened so long ago that I could barely remember the details, but after sitting down and forcing myself to type it started to flow. Details became more clearer to me and I was remember things right down to where people were sitting. After writing the paper I knew it needed editing. I reflected on my draft in blog post: Life-Choice Memoir Process Reflection.
